The full day program is and in-depth session that will focus on the unique provisions related to encryption under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) licensing officers will cover a variety of topics, including Note 4 to Category 5, Part 2, various decontrols, encryption mass market provision ((742.15), License Exception ENC (740.17), publicly available, encryption licensing, and foreign products developed from U.S. origin encryption parts and components. Presenters will be available for Q&A the afternoon of the program to address specific questions of attendees.
Instructors: The instructors are experienced export policy specialists from the Information Technology Division in Washington D.C. The instructors will be available throughout the seminar to answer your questions on how the export regulations affect the export activities of your organization or client.
Location / Time: Crowne Plaza, San Jose/Silicon Valley, 777 Bellew Drive, Milpitas, CA 95035. Registration and a continental breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. The program begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m.
