“Complying with U.S. Export Controls”
Tuesday, August 20 & Wednesday, August 21, 2019
Milpitas, California
The two-day program is led by BIS professional counseling staff and provides an in-depth examination of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The program will cover the information exporters need to comply with U.S. export control requirements under these regulations. The program will focus on:
- Recognizing which items and activities are subject to the EAR
- Identifying the Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) for an item
- Determining export and reexport licensing requirements
- Understanding when you can export or reexport without applying for a license
- Complying with export clearance procedures and recordkeeping requirements
- Applying these concepts through an Export Compliance Program (ECP)
Presenters will conduct “hands-on” exercises to prepare you to apply the EAR to your company’s export activities. This program is well suited for those who need a comprehensive understanding of their obligations under the EAR.
