We are seeking an experienced trade compliance manager to work with the Legal Team of the End User Computing (EUC) division at Broadcom on a contract basis to primarily support trade compliance and assist in some general ethics and compliance matters as needed. The professional we are seeking will have a deep understanding of the U.S. trade control, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). This person will work directly with the EUC engineering and order management teams, as well as other stakeholders within the EUC business, to implement required policies, manage risks and conduct proper due diligence.
Qualifications
- 5+ years relevant experience handling import, export, and sanctions laws and regulations.
- Deep expertise with U.S. trade controls, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), with an emphasis of encryption control per category 5 part 2 of the EAR, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), sanctions enforced by the Office of Foreign Assets Controls (OFAC), and similar laws and regulations in the EU and other jurisdictions.
- 1+ years experience assisting with several E&C disciplines and programs.
- Understanding of how to navigate multiple international legal environments.
- Experience with Oracle GTM.
Responsibilities
- This role is responsible for driving compliance with import, export, and sanctions laws and regulations in markets where EUC operates.
- Drives initiatives to ensure the company’s compliance with trade laws and sanctions.
- Investigates alerts and assist with EUC product classifications.
- Screen transactions against the various restricted parties list.
- Manages the trade compliance policies, procedures, and controls; assists with periodic audits.
- Assists the coordination, execution, and review of the Ethics & Compliance program (E&C). In coordination with an in-house legal counsel, provides daily direction, work assignments, and ensuring timely completion of tasks by the E&C staff. Research E&C issues, leads and/or oversees investigations, executes initiatives, delivers metrics, and provides summaries and reports to management.
